About Rabbi Kozlow
Rabbi Julie Kozlow received Rabbinic ordination in May 2007 from the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles, California. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the American Jewish University in May of 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Judaic Studies. Rabbi Kozlow has received two master's degrees in Rabbinic Studies, one from The Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, and another from The Academy for Jewish Religion, California.
Rabbi Kozlow was employed as a full-time Rabbi for seven years at a conservative synagogue in Greenville, South Carolina before joining B'nai Israel. Prior to that, Rabbi Kozlow focused on raising her three children and teaching Judaic studies at Jewish synagogues, day schools and camps for nearly a decade before entering graduate school.
Being a Rabbi and a grandmother are the two greatest joys of her life, and she serves to both with the same degree of dedication, love and passion. Rabbi Kozlow prides herself in her accessibility to all who need a caring and competent Rabbi. It is her belief that there is nothing more meaningful in life than creating sacred Jewish community with a synagogue of Jews grounded in both timeless tradition and the vast wisdom of Jewish ethical teachings. Rabbi Kozlow is deeply committed to both preserving the tradition as it has been handed down as well as inspiring vision and innovation to insure an enduring relevancy in the face of an uncertain future.
