Our congregational religious school is a return to the small, loving and home grown school of the past. We have resurrected the feel of coming home and the rhythm of passionate Jewish life. Our children and their parents learn through doing. We read Torah, sing, pray, make art creations about the Jewish life we are experiencing. We celebrate each child for their personal uniqueness and shower them with love and attention.
The ethical foundations of Jewish wisdom are woven throughout every lesson we share. We want our children to know what it means to be Jewish, to be proud and to fall in love with their heritage.
This is the school we all wish we had gone to when we were children.
We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and conclude at Noon. We experience, prayer by praying, we learn Torah by taking out the Torah and hearing her stories. WE learn about Tikkun Olam by actually going to the Food bank and packaging up food for the homeless.
We have Religious school one Shabbat a month on Saturday morning instead of Sunday. TGIS, Thank God it’s Shabbat. The children are called to the Torah and actually live the majesty of Jewish tradition.
