No, not Reading, wRiting and aRithmetic!
But "Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness." I know, Kindness doesn't begin with an R.
But you see, it doesn't have to.
It's just a way of getting the students to understand the importance of Kindness in their lives, to go along with the values of respect and responsibility.
This is a time of renewal, re-Jewvination, review of our lives and values.
So many questions - where have we been, where are we going?
On Friday, Rosh Hashanah Day 2, you, the congregation will respond to the question - What does the Binding of Isaac Story mean to you? I will throw out one word - parenting, to get us started. I think the story is about parenting - discuss.
See you in shul.
Friday afternoon -Mincha 6.30 pm.
After mincha. We will have an open discussion for a few minutes. Then move into our lst Shabbat of the year.
Cantor Lois and I will lead a "ruach service." This will be a musical experience. Lois will share new melodies with us and we will share some of our Shabbat favorites with her.
Eric Goldman will add to the ruach.
Shanah Tovah, a sweet year for all of us.
